Sreya Pallath, the Founder and inspiration behind Lotus Soaps, has spent most of her life in the international scene. She is raised in Hong Kong for more than half her life, and is now  settled in the global city of Chicago.  While maintaining a successful practice as a physician she managed to raise two children.

She has always had a passion for helping people and being a physician. She continued to foster that passion all through her adult life. The demands of a physician sometimes triggered its own stresses and weariness, as can be expected. Creating soap is one of her ways to relieve her stress. Being of an academic and scientific mindset, she was intrigued by the chemical processes that turned raw materials - the oils, fats, and fragrances, to the final building blocks of bright and colorful soaps. The somewhat familiar scientific process coupled with an unexplored creativity motivated her to start experimenting with soap making during the initial stages of the pandemic and thus "Lotus Soaps" is created.
